Is AI Fair for Authors affiliated with AI for Indie Authors?AI Fair for Authors is sponsored by AI for Indie Authors. They are both under the umbrella of Tin Can International LLC.

Does AI Fair for Authors promote fully automated book creation?No. The focus is on ethical AI assistance, informed decision-making, and keeping the author in control.

Will the Fair eventually have in-person events?Yes. The program is beginning with online sessions, with the goal of developing into physical AI Fair for Authors events as participation grows.

How can I hear about upcoming sessions?Visitors should be able to join our email list for new session announcements, guest speakers, replay availability, and future in-person events.

How long are the live sessions?Most sessions are expected to run approximately 60–75 minutes, including audience Q&A.

Can attendees ask questions during the session?Yes. Attendees can submit questions through the Q&A area while the presentation is taking place.

Will every submitted question be answered?We will try to address as many as possible. Similar questions may be combined, and some may not be answered if time is limited.

Will guest experts participate?Some sessions may include attorneys, publishing professionals, AI specialists, or other qualified guests depending on the subject.

Are the sessions recorded?Yes. Sessions may be recorded for later educational viewing.

Can I watch a session if I cannot attend live?Selected session recordings will be available for purchase after the live event.

How much will recorded sessions cost?Replay pricing will be listed on each session page.

Does purchasing a recording give permanent access?Permanent access to the specific recorded session that you purchase.

Do I need to register in advance?Yes. Advance registration is required for paid live sessions.

How will I receive the Zoom link?Attendees should receive the access information by email after registration and again shortly before the session.

What happens if I register but cannot attend (cancellation and refund policy)?Registrations for AI Fair for Authors online sessions are eligible for a full refund when cancellation is requested at least 14 days before the scheduled session date.
Cancellation requests received fewer than 14 days before the scheduled session are not eligible for a refund.
If AI Fair for Authors cancels a scheduled online session, registered participants will receive a full refund.

Does AI Fair for Authors provide legal advice?No. Discussions about copyright, ownership, contracts, privacy, or other legal matters are for general educational purposes and are not individualized legal advice.

If an attorney appears as a guest, can I ask for legal advice about my book?General questions may be discussed, but the session does not create an attorney-client relationship and should not be used for individualized legal advice.

Does AI Fair for Authors recommend a specific AI platform?No. Sessions may demonstrate or discuss particular tools, but the purpose is to help authors understand how to evaluate and use AI responsibly.

Will AI Fair for Authors tell me whether I should use AI?No. The objective is to provide information, examples, risks, and practical considerations so authors can make their own decisions.

Will you discuss what happens when a manuscript is uploaded to an AI platform?Yes. Privacy, data handling, platform policies, confidential manuscripts, and author precautions are planned session topics.
